SDRCC Championships

 

At SDRCC we race 12 times a year from April to September. Each club member's best 8 rounds will count towards the final championship standings for each class they race in.

 

Non SDRCC members are always welcome to take part in these relaxed, friendly race meetings however their results will not be counted in the final championship standings for their respective classes.

📆 2024 Race Dates 📆

Membership Fees (per calendar year):

 

Adult: £40

​

Junior (15 and under): £25

​

All members are entitled to use the tracks outside of race days, get discounted race entry and the right to vote in that year's AGM/EGM.

​

SDRCC Members: 1 class, £7, 2 classes £10

​

Non Members: 1 class, £14, 2 classes £20

​

To take part in a club round you must be a member of the BRCA. If you are newcomer you may take part in up to 3 club rounds before it becomes necessary for you to become a BRCA member.

Race Format

​

Each round will consist of 3 qualifying heats (staggered start) and 3 finals (gridded start). All 5 minutes long.

 

Your best two overall best times set in the three qualifying heats will decide your grid position in the finals. Your best two finishing positions in the finals will then form your overall position for that round.

👉You must have run in at least one qualifying session to be able to race in the finals👈

 

Only club members can accumulate championship points from the first round after their joining date (i.e. if you raced as a non member then joined part way through the season, the points for any rounds raced as a non member are not added to your total championship points).

​

Results from your best 8 rounds will form your total championship points for the season.
